HOW SCOTLAND IS FAILING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS – AND HOW TO PUT IT RIGHT

Reform Scotland was delighted to host a discussion about how to improve opportunities and success rates for women entrepreneurs. We were joined by the authors of the Stewart Review, Ana Stewart and Mark Logan.

Ana Stewart is a successful tech entrepreneur. She founded fintech business i-design in 1995. Ana joined the seed investment firm Eos in 2019, where she is an investment partner, with £30m of investments under management. She also holds several non-executive director positions including a pet wellness business Bella & Duke and the Scottish FA.

Mark Logan is the Chief Entrepreneurial Advisor to the Scottish Government, and is the author of the Scottish Technology Ecosystem Review. He is also a professor of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow, a Senior Enterprise Fellow at University of Strathclyde, and was COO of Skyscanner, one of Europe’s most successful technology companies.

The discussion was chaired by Chris Deerin, Director of Reform Scotland.
